MedPartners University

MedPartners realized the need for quality education for our 600+ external consultants several years ago. After surveying the education options available for purchase we soon realized the level of quality education we needed for our consultants did not exist. We decided to invest in the human capital to create our own education that met the unique needs of our medical coding, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), and case management consultants.

For the past 2 years we have educated our external consultants with our uniquely created courses developed for the specific needs and changes we are seeing on the healthcare landscape. We designed training modules geared towards medical coders and CDI specialists. Our consultants began to share their learned knowledge with the coders they were working with on-site at healthcare facilities around the United States.

Hence, MedPartners University (MPU) was born. MedPartners University offers a virtual full-service continuing education portal through a Learning Management System; Blackboard Learn. The MPU team consists of seasoned educators in Coding and Clinical Documentation Improvement, a Blackboard Administrator, and Blackboard Support for MPU learners with more than 80 years of industry experience. Our support services include course navigation assistance and the option to submit coding or documentation questions.
