We are looking for an experienced Medical Records Clerk to join our team! 
The Medical Records Clerk maintains all medical records within standards of compliance, working electronically for a University Health System

Contacts ancillary service personnel regarding signatures. 

Assists medical/ clinical staff by providing information as to required documentation. 

Epic EMR experience required; 3M experience helpful but not necessary. Self-starter, attention to detail. Our MSA Reconciliation process utilizes various excel reports which require look up/search in Epic Resolute (Pro Fee billing) to see if an appropriate charge (CPT code) is posted. All training would be done via WebEx and email. Coder certification isn't necessary but could be helpful. We have a substantial backlog of reports we are wrestling with so accuracy with reasonable turnaround is required.

Participates in approved quality improvement focused reviews. 

Performs analytical tasks associated with the resolution of "coding" errors. 

Filing, scanning and uploading of documents into the facility?s EMR. 

Maintain regular contact and open communication with families as needed Education: Min High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred 


• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have and maintain one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or RHIT); AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A, or one of the relevant AAPC specialty-specific coding credentials).
• Must maintain proficiency in accordance with TVC's Coding Proficiency Standards.
• Minimum of three years' experience in Wound Care Coding.
• Medical Terminology required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding and Correct Coding Initiatives (CCI) required.
• Ability to train and audit new and established providers as skills are mastered.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCS, CCS-P, or RHIT); AAPC (CPC, CPC, CPC-H)
• Must be proficient with Facilities Coding Standards.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in medical coding.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding and Correct Coding Initiatives (CCI) required.

• Salary Range: $38,000 to $43,000 per year
