  • Physician Coder Facility 2018-06-23 USD 100 1000000 Contract 2018-07-23 We are seeking a Physician Coder: The Physician Coder is responsible for assigning appropriate ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes accurately of any assigned surgery, clinical, or hospital charges including EMR with strong attention to detail. Must have strong data entry skills. The ability to follow Corporate Compliance guidelines mandatory. Performs required training of providers and co-workers when appropriate. Strong verbal and communication skills a must. Must be able to be able to work independently as well as with team members.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Previous Healthcare Experience required 1 - 3 Years required More than 5 Years preferred Knowledge, Skills: Required Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize, Analytical, Computer Systems, Customer Relations, Grammar/Spelling, Mathematical, Medical Terminology, Microsoft Office, Operate Office Equipment and Verbal Communication skills License, Registration and/or Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assigning appropriate ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes accurately of any assigned surgery, clinical, or hospital charges including EMR with strong attention to detail.. Must understand and use medical diagnostic terminology. Must be knowledgeable of State and Federal Billing Guidelines, ICD-10, CPT coding and HCPCS classification systems.
    Knowledge of Medicare and third party payer insurance updates and related information.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must have at least five (3) years Physician Coding, E&M, Multispecialty coding experience coding. Must have current Credential (CPC, CCS-P). Demonstrated ability to understand the clinical content of a health record, including the most complicated records. Must also be able to communicate with physicians in order to clarify diagnoses/procedures and sequencing of diagnoses. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of and utilize auditing skills related to coding quality and compliance. Must be able to meet quantity and quality standards established.
    The successful candidate will possess the following:

    •Must be AHIMA or AAPC certified and hold one or more of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H.•Must have a minimum of 3 years of coding experience.
    •Successful completion of required ICD-10 training prior to start date.
